Fort Loramie Boys Golf won today’s Sectional Tournament held at Beechwood Golf Course.
Zach Pleiman led the way with a 78, which was second overall for the tournament.
Three shots behind him was Mitchell Puthoff who shot an 81, which was the 4th best score for the day.
Eli Rosengarten shot a 90 which was 10th and rounding out the scoring was Devin Ratermann who had a 96. Caeleb Meyer was not too far behind with a 98.
Coach Turner had the following to say about Tuesday’s match, “The conditions were very wet on the course with a lot of standing or ‘casual water’ to deal with. I was pleased with the way our guys handled the elements today and happy that we got a win like this. In five previous tournaments we’ve played in this year we finished second four times and third another. So we’ve been close, but just not good enough to win one. The guys picked a good tournament to get our first win!”
This is the first sectional championship for Loramie golf since 2000 and the first in Coach Turner’s eleven seasons of coaching.
The District Tournament will be held at Beavercreek Golf Course Thursday October 4.
