The Fort Loramie Redskins won their second game in a row for the first time this season with a 77-47 win over the Fairlawn Jets. The victory pushes the Redskins record to 5-4 (3-3 SCAL). Fairlawn got off to a quick start taking a quick 12-4 lead, but Fort Loramie’s pressure created problems all night for the Jets. The Redskins created turnovers and transition baskets and quickly regained the lead 18-14 after one quarter. Fort Loramie and Fairlawn traded baskets into the second quarter before Fort Loramie was able to put their foot down and blow the game open with a 17-5 run to end the half to give them a 11 point cushion. The third quarter was the difference in the game. Fort Loramie continued their pressure and scored the first 8 points of the third quarter forcing a Fairlawn timeout. There would be no let up as Fort Loramie outscored the Jets 20-8 in the third period giving them a comfortable 59-36 lead heading into the 4th quarter. A three pointer by senior Mason Kemper gave the Redskins a 62-36 lead. Fort Loramie saw 12 players reach the scoring column as they put up a season high 77 points. The Redskins will be back in action tomorrow night as they travel to rival Minster. Freshman game tips off a 4:30pm.
