Fort Loramie jumped out to a 6 – 0 lead when Gephart and Rose both connected on the long ball early in the first quarter. Meiring added 10 additional points and Sholtis contributed 6 more as the Redskins scored 26 points in the opening quarter and held Botkins to 5 points.

In the second quarter, Loramie’s defense was giving their opponents all they could handle as they kept them scoreless for 7:30 minutes. Botkins ended up scoring 4 points in those last :30 seconds, and trailed 41-9 at the half.
