Fort Loramie jumps out to a 28-4 lead in the first quarter behind a dominating performance by junior Kenzie Hoelscher. She canned 5-7 from the floor. Dana Rose added a one-two punch by scoring 7 additional points, hitting all 3 shot attempts, one from beyond the arc. The Redskins were 13-18 (72%) in the opening period, while Marion Local was just 2 -5.

In the second quarter, Fort Loramie continued their pressure defense allowing the Flyers just 9 shot attempts (3-9). The Redskins connected on 7 -13 baskets and headed to the locker room with a 45-14 lead.

Fort Loramie finished the game shooting 33 – 57 (58%) while the Flyers were 9-27 (33%). The Redskins were 8-8 from the line, shot 6-17 from the three point, out-rebounded their opponent by 10, and forced 32 turnovers.

Hoelscher led all scorers with 21 points and 3 steals. Rose finished with 13, Ratermann scored 9, and Gasson and Sholtis both chipped in 8. Sholtis also had 5 rebounds, and Meiring led the team in assists with 4.

Loramie is now 20-0 (11-0) and plays their last home game on Thursday night versus Botkins. We will be honoring our four seniors. Also on this night, the 5th graders will play at halftime of the JV game and the 6th graders will play at the halftime of the varsity game.
