The Redskins traveled to Russia on Saturday and continued their pressure full court and half court defense. Dana Rose connected on 3 shots and added a few FT to score 9 of her team’s 21 points in the first quarter. Loramie held Russia to just 2 attempted shots during the initial quarter.

In the second quarter, Ava Sholtis was perfect from the floor and the FT line in scoring 6 points to lead the Redskins in the scoring column for that quarter. After 2 quarters, Fort Loramie was hitting 52% of their shots (3 – 7 from behind the arc and 13 -24 from the 2 point range) while limiting the Raiders to just 2 – 9 from the floor (2 -4 and 0 – 5). Loramie held a convincing 39-9 lead at the half.

In the second half Loramie outscored Russia 32 – 6. The visiting team forced Russia into 27 turnovers while committing 19 themselves. The Redskins out rebounded Russia 31 -13.

For Loramie, Dana Rose led all scorers with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Kenzie Holescher had 11 points and seven steals. Marissa Meiring chipped in 10 points and grabbed 5 steals. Kennedi Gephart led the team in assists with 4.

For Russia, Olivia Moorman scored 7 points.

Fort Lormaie is now 3-0 (2-0) and plays Tuesday night at home versus West Liberty Salem.
